Class Offerings
Here at Shanti we are so excited and honored to share our love of yoga with you! We have a variety of class styles, hoping that you can find one (or more!) that feeds your soul.

ASHTANGA
Mysore - This class offers a unique experience for both the student and the teacher. It is a self paced practice, giving the student plenty of time to get curious in their practice as well as explore deeper the asana they are in. You will work individually with the teacher building up your sequence asana by asana, giving you time to absorb and understand the poses you are doing. There is plenty of time to workshop poses and transitions, as well as question alignment and technique.
Mysore is open to all levels. A safe place for beginners to come and slowly develop a practice, and a space for seasoned practitioners to continue their journey.
Guided - A 90 minute class where the community goes through half of the ashtanga primary series. We will go all the way through navasana, and then do backbends and the full closing series. We keep this practice as traditional as possible, sticking true to the sequence, we will recite the opening prayer, and count in sanskrit. When coming to a guided ashtanga class it is good to have some experience with yoga (even if it is not ashtanga).

VINYASA
Our creative vinyasa classes offer a variety of music, pace, and our teachers all come from different backgrounds, which can create a really unique experience during each class. You will find different intensity levels with each teacher, but know that variations to find more support + ease are always welcome, just like variations to create more heat and physical challenges. These classes are a strong moving flow that cultivate balance, stability, flexibility, and vigor. Breath awareness and coordination are carried throughout the practice as the asanas ebb and flow between effort and ease.

Heated: 85 - 90 degrees
Warm: 75 - 80 degrees

YIN
Yin classes are quiet and meditative practices with longer holds in poses. These classes use mindful relaxation within each posture to target the body's connective tissue and promote the mobilization of fascia. Very little to no physical strength will be used during a yin class.

GENTLE FLOW + RESTORE
This class blends both a vinyasa like flow + a restorative class.
The gentle flow will offer the student movements to softly warm the body up. You will find slower transitions, less asanas, and more simplicity to the practice here.
The restorative part will bring a quiet and calming atmosphere with fully supported restful postures. This style uses active relaxation to calm the nervous system and support a physical and mental state of ease.

STRENGTH + CONDITION
If you're looking to build up strength and endurance this class is for you.
There will be strength training exercises to help build up your muscles. Each class will touch on lower body, upper body, and core. There will also be conditioning exercises to improve your endurance and cardiovascular health.
